Bahamas Wahoo Championship Rules

  • The BWC is open to all boats, regardless of engine configuration

  • Wahoo only to count. 20 pound minimum. No mutilated fish.

  • The decision of the weighmaster is final.

  • Boats may leave the docks at 7:00 AM. Fishing starts at 8:00 AM

  • Fishing stops at 4:00PM.

  • Boats must pass the terminator line by 5:00 PM. Weigh-In. 5:00 to 6:00 PM. No boundaries.

  • Six lines. Two wire lines per boat may be used. No electric reels.

  • This is a boat tournament/Championship. Boats may be substituted from tournament to tournament but not once a tournament starts. Fish cannot be transferred from one boat to another.

Scoring

First Place.

  • The sum of the heaviest FIVE qualifying fish. (Two per day less one)

 

High Point Boat Daily

  • The sum of the TWO heaviest Wahoo weighed in each day.

Clarification of the Rules - Weigh-In procedures - Local Rules.

  • A clarification of the rules, weigh-in format and procedures and any local rules will be handed out to all boats prior to the start of the tournament. They will also be discussed at The Captain’s Meeting.
